Transitioning from Planeta Oruga's experimental pop to a dance-floor sound, Rafael launched his solo career fusing electro, pop, house and retrowave. Under ASTRAL LIGHTS he achieved global recognition with two standout indie dance tracks on Beatport — reaching #11 and #14 worldwide. His innovative use of vocoders became a signature, drawing from pioneers like Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Daft Punk and Giorgio Moroder. Astral Lights is where retro soul meets modern electronics — neon-lit cityscapes, analog warmth and future nostalgia.
A metamorphosis into deeper waters. Digital Dolphin represents Rafael's evolution toward melodic techno — emotive harmonies, hypnotic rhythms and avant-garde textures designed for the club. This alias dives into a more immersive, introspective electronic realm where synthesizer waves meet driving beats, creating a unique sonic experience that bridges the dancefloor and the soul.
The experimental frontier. Zentipede is Rafael's most daring project — space ambient and electroacoustic performances crafted from real NASA recordings (Voyager, Cassini, Parker Solar Probe). A live audiovisual experience that transports audiences across the cosmos, blending science, sound and technology into a transcendent journey.
